Counselling
Counselling in Weston-super-Mare
When life feels heavy, talking to someone outside of it can make all the difference.
Counselling with me is a confidential, judgement-free space where you can slow down, feel truly heard, and begin to make sense of what you’re going through — at your own pace, with no agenda but yours.
What people come to talk about
People come to me for support with many of life’s challenges, including:
- Anxiety, worry and feeling overwhelmed
- Low mood and feeling stuck or “not yourself”
- Stress from work, relationships or day-to-day pressure
- Big transitions — a career change, a relationship ending, loss, or a new chapter
- Confidence, self-worth and understanding yourself more clearly
You don’t need to arrive with the “right” words or a tidy explanation. We’ll find them together.
A note on what counselling is
Counselling is a supportive, talking-based process. It isn’t medical treatment, and it works best alongside — never instead of — the care of your GP or other health professionals. If you’re in crisis, please see the urgent-help numbers in the footer.
How I work
My approach is humanistic and integrative — which simply means I start with you as a whole person, not a diagnosis, and draw on whatever approach best fits what you need, rather than forcing you into one method. It’s warm, human and led by you. Some people want to explore the past; others want to focus on the present. Both are welcome.
