Accessibility

This site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 AA. If anything is hard to use, please tell me and I’ll put it right.

What that means in practice

• Every part of the site can be used with a keyboard alone.
• Focus is always visible, and you’re never trapped anywhere you can’t get out of.
• Pages use proper headings and landmarks, so you can navigate by structure with a screen reader.
• Text contrast meets or exceeds 4.5:1 against its background.
• Form fields have clear labels, and errors are described in words — never by colour alone.
• There is a “skip to main content” link at the top of every page.
• Animation is kept minimal and respects your “reduce motion” setting.
• Text can be resized to 200% and the layout reflows down to 320px without horizontal scrolling.
• There is no CAPTCHA anywhere on the site — spam is handled invisibly instead.

How it’s been tested

Every page is checked automatically each time the site is built. Those checks confirm that each page has one main heading and no skipped heading levels, that every image carries alternative text, that the skip link and page landmarks are present, that the page language is set, and that no internal link is broken.

Text colours were measured against their backgrounds rather than assumed. Body text sits at about 13:1 against the page, well beyond the 4.5:1 the standard asks for, and one accent colour was deliberately restricted to decorative use because it measured 4.26:1 — below the threshold for normal-size text.

Manual testing with a keyboard alone, and with the JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver screen readers, is scheduled but has not yet been carried out. I would rather say so plainly than claim a test that hasn’t happened. This page will be updated with the date and the results once it has.

Conformance

This site is designed to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. On the evidence of the automated testing above I believe it does, but until the manual screen reader testing is complete I describe it as partially conformant — meaning parts of it have not yet been fully assessed.

Known issues

No outstanding accessibility problems have been identified. One was found and fixed during the build: the main “Book a free 20-minute call” button was rendering dark text on a dark background, at roughly 1.87:1. It is now white on green at 6.6:1.

If you find something the automated checks missed, please tell me — that is exactly how that button was caught.
